Composition
Titex DS Vet bolus: Each bolus contains Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride BP equivalent to Oxytetracycline 1000 mg.
Description
Oxytetracycline is a proven broad-spectrum antibiotic that is used in infectious diseases of domesticated animals and poultry. Oxytetracycline is prepared for oral, uterus, water, and feed use. Oxytetracycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis.
Indications
Oxytetracycline sensitive gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria is cured by using Oxytetracycline bolus. Oxytetracycline bolus is dissolved with blood, pus, or other body extracts quickly and shows antibacterial action. Oxytetracycline bolus is used as an ideal pessary for the following diseases of cattle, buffaloes, horse, sheep & goat (eg. Metritis, Pyometra, Endometritis, Cervicitis, Parturition pain, Abortion, and genital tract disease after parturition).
Dosage & Administration
Side Effects
Oxytetracycline is generally safe and effective but it and other tetracyclines may cause of teeth discoloration or decaying teeth in young animals.
Precautions
No significant precaution is needed during use.
Use in Pregnancy & Lactation
Oxytetracycline should be avoided in pregnant animals as liver problems may occur.
Drug Interaction
Oxytetracycline may interact with other medications such as oral antacids.
OverDose
High doses of Oxytetracycline may cause kidney problems.
Withdrawal Period
Storage
Keep in a cool and dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
