Presentation
Intamycin vet injection: Each ml contains Gentamicin Sulfate BP equivalent to 100 mg Gentamicin.
Description
Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic active against Gram-positive eg. Staphylococci, Streptococci, Corynebacterium spp. and Gram-negative bacteria. It binds with the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis. The benefits of this injection are: bactericidal at the low dose, rapid tissue distribution, prolonged activity in major organs, a drug of the first choice in cases of resistance to other antibiotics as Oxytetracycline, Chloramphenicol, Sulphonamides and significantly reduces early chick and pullet mortality.
