Composition
Relifen vet injection: Each ml contains Ketoprofen BP 100 mg.
Description
Indications
Ketoprofen injection is indicated in arthritis, arthritis, coxitis, dermatitis, post-operative wound & swelling, abscess, myositis and lameness, inflammation due to injury, relieving fever and pain due to acute mastitis, ephemeral fever, the pain of bone and muscle, supportive therapy with antimicrobials, controlling low to medium convulsive pain.
Dosage & Administration
Side Effects
Ketoprofen injection is tested and clinically well tolerated. However, GI upset may occur as similar to those of other NSAIDs.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in case of severe dehydration, hypovolaemia, and hypotension as there is a risk of renal toxicity. Sufficient drinking water must be supplied at all times during or after treatment.
Use in Pregnancy & Lactation
As the effects of Ketoprofen on fertility, pregnancy, or fetal health of horses have not been determined, Ketoprofen injection should not be administered to pregnant mares. It may be given to pregnant and lactating cattle with prior caution.
Drug Interaction
Concurrent use of corticosteroids and other NSAIDs may greatly increase the risk of gastrointestinal ulceration and renal papillary necrosis.
OverDose
Overdoses of Ketoprofen injection can cause GI ulcers, protein loss, kidney, and liver damage. Early signs of toxicity include loss of appetite and depression.
Withdrawal Period
Storage
Keep in a cool and dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.

Relifen vet injection 10 ml: Each commercial box contains 1 amber vial of 10ml.
